Drum Wizard... R.I.P.

Much love to Armando Acosta, who sadly passed away last week. He made Saint Vitus one of the heaviest bands; one of the coolest bands. Have fun traveling through the universe.

Here is the first Saint Vitus recording, when they were known as Tyrant,
an omen of what was to come, and how awesome it would be...

Beyond!

Captain Beyond was introduced to me through a list of records that my brother wanted. I knew nothing about this band, but while I was looking unsuspectingly through the endless bins of a fluorescently lit record store, what should I come across... A band that involves the guitar player from Iron Butterfly, and the singer from Deep Purple, and a rhythm section that tears it up like a rampant brontosaurus! So I had to listen to this record, naturally, before passing it on to my brother; but once this touched my ears, I couldn't let go. It sounds kind of like a boat sailing to to the moon on winds comprising of faery tears. Travel to the next astral sea for yourself:
